Higashi, Hideyuki

Mr. Hideyuki Higashi obtained his Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in University of Toyama. He specialized in Pharmacokinetics (PK) and focused on transporter and channel expressed in Blood-brain barrier and Blood-retinal barrier.
After graduation, he began working for Kowa Company, Ltd., and was assigned to the ADME group in the Xenobiotics department at Tokyo New Drug Research Laboratories. He utilized LC-MS/MS techniques to measure concentrations of low molecule compounds to predict PK properties in human.
He joined CICS in November 2015 and became a member of the Proteomics Research group. He utilizes LC-MS/MS techniques to discover new drug targets. He works hard to make new drugs for patients around the world. He also aims to obtain a PhD as the next phase of his career.
