Funamizu, Takehiro
Dr. Takehiro Funamizu obtained his MD from Juntendo University in 2011 and completed his PhD at Juntendo University Graduate School of Medicine in the lab of Dr. Hiroshi Iwata in 2020. He studied the relationship between HDL function and aortic valve calcification. Takehiro joined Masanori Aikawa’s research group at CICS as a postdoctoral research fellow in November 2022 and is investigating the role of macrophage activation and exploring potential therapeutic targets against atherosclerosis.
