Miura, Toru
Mr. Toru Miura joined CICS in August 2021 as a research administrator. After graduating Tohoku University, he entered Kowa Company Ltd. in 1997 and was assigned to the organic chemistry department at Tokyo Laboratories. As a medicinal chemist, Mr. Miura has been involved in many drug discovery projects covering a wide range of diseases such as arteriosclerosis, hyperlipidemia, hypertension and diabetes mellitus. From 2015 to 2018 Mr. Miura served as Manager of the Research Strategy Department at Kowa’s Tokyo Branch. From 2018 to 2021, Mr. Miura served as Manager of Research Administration Department at Tokyo New Drug Research Laboratories, where he subsequently became Manager of Research Planning Department.
