Maekawa, Yota
Dr. Yota Maekawa obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Kyoto University, Department of Systems Biology in 2022. During his doctoral studies, he focused on circadian rhythms and sleep–wake regulation. After completing his Ph.D., he joined Kowa Company, Ltd., Fuji Research Laboratories, Pharmacokinetics Research Division in 2022, where he engaged in drug efficacy. Since 2026, he has been working at CICS as a researcher under the supervision of Professor Elena Aikawa, focusing on the study of calcification and exploring novel druggable targets in this field.
