Color Selection Tools for Quantifying Histological Data
1. The Color Separation HSV
Description
The HSV color space has three color elements (hue, saturation and value) but only the hue specifies the color other two elements specify the intensity (saturation) or brightness (value) of the color. This tool makes thresholding ranges on these three elements and the point (pixel) only ranged in the three ranges is selected as target or positively stained point (pixel).
The tool can select three different colors simultaneously. This is highly effective for extracting multiple staining areas from the image.

2. The Color Separation RGB
Description
The RGB color space has three color elements (red, green and blue) This tool makes thresholding ranges on these three elements and the point (pixel) only ranged in the three ranges is selected as target or positively stained point (pixel).
The tool can select three different colors simultaneously. You can notice the differential results between our method (the Color Selection HSV) and conventional method (the Color Selection RGB) with analyzing same image and easiness to determine the thresholding ranges when you use our method.

Browser requirements
Web browsers should have a full compatibility to html5 in both software tools. Older browsers might not work the software (we certified Safari 5 did not work). We examined the software can work on web browsers below:
- Google Chrome (31.0 on Windows 7 or Mac OSX 10.6.8).
- Mozilla Firefox (26.0 on Windows 7 or Mac OSX 10.6.8).
- Internet Explorer (11.0 on Windows 7).
- Safari (6 or higher requiring Snow leopard).
You should allow javascript working in some case (Internet Explorer).
